Short version: this website collects nothing. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixel, no cookie and no login on wowsemi.org.

• No cookies or storage. The site sets no cookies and writes nothing to your browser's local storage.
• The AI Career Compass runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and disappear when you close the tab.
• Quizzes, simulators and games behave the same way — scores are held in memory only.
• Fonts. Typefaces load from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address as part of that request. This is the only third party the site contacts.
• Hosting. The site is served by Netlify, which keeps standard server access logs.
• Email. If you write to us, we keep your message and contact details only to reply and to maintain a record of the enquiry. We never sell, rent or share them.
• Programme data. Learners who enrol in a WOWSemi programme give us name, contact, institution and assessment records. That data is used to run the programme, issue certificates and report anonymised totals to funders. Named data is shared with an employer only with the learner's explicit consent.
• Learners under 18. We collect a minor's data only through their school or institution, with the institution's consent, and we do not publish a minor's name or photograph without written parental or guardian consent.
• How long we keep it. Enquiry emails are kept only as long as the conversation is live. Learner and assessment records are kept for as long as we may need to verify a certificate we issued, plus any period the law requires.
• Your rights. Write to grievance@wowsemi.org to see, correct or delete anything we hold about you, or to withdraw consent. We respond within 30 days. We will delete on request except where we are legally required to retain a record, or where it is needed to honour a certificate-verification request — and we will tell you which applies.
• Officer. Venkatesh Kumar Pandurengan is WOWSemi Foundation's Grievance Officer and Data Protection Officer, as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the IT (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules, 2021 require. Reach him directly at grievance@wowsemi.org.

This policy applies to wowsemi.org and to WOWSemi Foundation programmes. It does not cover sites we link to.

• Educational purpose. Everything on this site — simulators, micro-lessons, the Virtual Fab, the Semiuseum — is published for learning. It is not engineering guidance and must not be used to operate real semiconductor equipment or handle real process chemicals.
• What a WOWSemi certificate is. It certifies that a learner completed a WOWSemi programme and passed its assessments. It is issued by WOWSemi Foundation. It is not, at present, an NSQF-certified qualification — see Statutory Registrations below.
• No guarantee of employment. We provide priority referral to our industry network. We do not promise a job, an interview, or any salary outcome.
• Accuracy. Salary bands, market figures and industry projections are indicative, drawn from public sources, and change. Treat them as orientation, not advice.
• Intellectual property. WOWSemi™ and the WOWSemi logo are marks used by WOWSemi Foundation; the curriculum and original site content are ours. You may share and quote them for non-commercial educational use with attribution. Commercial reuse needs our written permission.
• External links. We link to partners, mentors' profiles and public documents. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for them.
• Changes. We may update these terms; the current version always lives at this URL.
• Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of India, with jurisdiction in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

The Mobile Experience Lab brings real equipment to school and college campuses, and many of our visitors are minors. The following is the operating standard we hold ourselves to on every visit.

• Institutional consent. Our standard requires a written agreement with the host school, ITI, polytechnic or college before a visit, and parental consent — obtained by the institution — for participants under 18.
• Supervision. Our standard requires a member of the host institution's staff present throughout, and a target of no more than 15 learners per WOWSemi facilitator inside the lab.
• No unaccompanied access. Our standard requires a WOWSemi facilitator to be present before any learner enters the lab or an equipment zone.
• Hazardous materials. We do not carry process chemicals or live process gases for learner handling. Gas panel, chemical handling and vacuum training use inert media, trainers, cutaways and simulators. Our standard requires any hazardous demonstration to be facilitator-only, behind a barrier.
• Protective equipment. Cleanroom garments, eye protection and gloves are provided and required in the zones where they apply. Gowning discipline is taught before entry, not after.
• Electrical and mechanical safety. Our standard requires powered equipment to be inspected before each deployment, and prohibits bypassing guards or interlocks for demonstration.
• Vehicle safety. Our standard requires the lab to be stationary, level, chocked and connected to a verified supply before anyone boards, with exits kept clear and stated capacity observed.
• Emergencies. Our standard requires each deployment to carry a first-aid kit, fire extinguisher, a posted evacuation plan and local emergency numbers, with facilitators first-aid briefed.
• Staff and volunteer screening. Our standard requires identity verification and reference checks for anyone working unsupervised with minors, before their first deployment.
• Photography. We photograph sessions for reporting. A minor is identifiable in published material only with written parental or guardian consent, and any participant may opt out on the day.
• Incidents. Our standard is to record any injury, near-miss or safeguarding concern, report it to the host institution the same day, and escalate to the Foundation's board within 48 hours.

We publish what we hold and what we do not. A donor's compliance team should be able to check us in a minute.

Funding partnerships. Talk to us early and we will work with your compliance team to structure the engagement correctly.

Skills accreditation. WOWSemi is not currently an affiliated Training Partner of an NCVET-recognised Awarding Body, and is not an Awarding Body. Our curriculum is written against ESSCI, NIELIT, DGT and TSSC semiconductor standards where they exist — no national qualification yet covers fab facilities & utilities or smart factory & AI, so those tracks are written to industry practice. Training Partner affiliation is the accreditation we are working toward.

Our standard is that every campus visit and partnership runs on a written MoU. Here is what is in it, before you ask for the document.

• WOWSemi provides — facilitators, curriculum, equipment, simulators, learner materials, assessment, certificates, and public reporting of the outcomes.
• The institution provides — a level parking and power point for the lab, a staff coordinator present throughout, learner nominations, parental consents for minors, and a room for classroom sessions.
• Costs. Awareness sessions and roadshows are free to the institution. Certification cohorts begin 1 December 2026 and are priced per learner; sponsored seats are available — ask before you budget.
• Learner data is shared under the terms in our Privacy Policy, and never passed to an employer without the learner's consent.
• Branding. Both parties may name the partnership publicly. Neither uses the other's logo on commercial material without written approval.
• Duration and exit. Twelve months by default, renewable, terminable by either party with 30 days' notice.
